My work speaks to the emotional and physical condition of historic and contemporary human struggles between power and peace, injustice and freedom, and the intersections of race, geography, and gender. I am a history nerd and a trained anthropologist with a propensity to engage human existence and identity through representation of the human body and the intersection of culturally specific symbols. The work I create attempts to portray clear narrative(s) to the audience through the use of realism and portraiture as well as through geometric spatial analysis, and color.
